NASCAR racing in Bristol, Northeast Tennessee

Be there to see the quickest laps in NASCAR! Be there when 43 cars take the green in the biggest, best Nationwide Series race on the circuit. Be there when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway in Northeast Tennessee!

On Friday, March 14th 2008 the POLE DAY will open the three days of racing in Bristol, Northeast Tennessee! Additionally to the POLE DAY, the racing weekend will include the SHARPIE MINI 300 on Saturday, March 15th 2008 and the FOOD CITY 500 on Sunday, March 16th, 2008.

POLE DAY - FRIDAY, MARCH 14, 2008

It's a full day of action, as in addition to Food City 500 qualifying, fans can enjoy a full day of Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series practice. Spectator gates open at 9 am, followed by Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series practice, with Food City 500 Qualifying set to get under way at 3:40 pm. Tickets are only $15 and kids until 12 years get in free!

SHARPIE MINI 300 - SATURDAY MARCH 15, 2008

It's the Sharpie MINI 300, featuring a mix of Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series drivers in a 300 lap dash for the highly coveted Bristol checkered flag. Carl Edwards returns as the defending Sharpie MINI 300 winner and he'll be competing again on March 15, hoping for another chance to do his backflip on the Bristol start/finish line. Tickets start at $45. Kids to the age of 12 get in for only $10! Gates open at 9 am and the race starts at 2:30 pm.

FOOD CITY 500 - SUNDAY, MARCH 16, 2008

One Dale is in a new ride and another Dale is competing in his final season. The spectator gates for the FOOD CITY 500 open at 9 am. The race will start at 2:00 pm. The last two Sprint Cup races saw two first-time Bristol Cup Series winners, in Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards. Who'll take home that big ol' Bristol Food City 500 trophy this year?
