The event showcases the best of McIntosh County’s tidewater community, the most beautiful setting on earth. It’s packed with fun for the whole family and features the best seafood you’ve ever tasted. The festival features great music on Friday and Saturday nights including County Superstar, Sammy Kershaw.
There is also a Street Parade, Boat Parade, 5K run, Miss Blessing contest, Art in the Park (juried), Classic Car Show, Kid’s Fishing Rodeo, Shrimpbox Derby, Children’s Activities, Carnival, Arts and Craft Vendors and Fireworks Display.

I attended the last 2 years - it was a lot of fun! Thousands of young and old gather to celebrate small town life, companionship with friends, great music and of course.... shrimp. They also hold a rubber duck race on the river which I observed from the boat of a friend while enjoying plenty of libations. I look forward to this year's event!
Should have come over to Brunswick, Ga There is an actual working shrimp boat (Lady Jane) that takes 49 people on a shrimping excursion, best of all You get to eat the shrimp that is caught right onboard the vessel. see www.credlesadventures.com for more details.
